About the Scholarship & Fellowship Committee
Charge
The Scholarship Committee is responsible for the review of applications and selection of scholarship/award recipients for all incoming and current School of Education students.
The Scholarship Committee:
- Solicits and reviews information about the academic standing and/or achievement of student applicants as stipulated by the specific scholarship or award criteria
- Reviews and selects students for School of Education travel awards throughout the academic year as needed.
- Reviews and identifies students who best reflect the qualities specified–both required and preferred in the scholarship gift agreements.
Composition
The Scholarship Committee is composed of one two representatives from each academic area appointed by the respective Area Chair – CCATE, EPOL and LDPS; the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and the Donor Engagement and Stewardship Officer who serve as ex-officio members; and a Program Administrative Support Specialist (PASS) who provides administrative support to the committee throughout the scholarship award cycle. Once appointed, each representative will serve a two-year term.
