Each Thursday in February, we will have a guest speaker discuss the role of schools of education in uplifting and elevating Black youth, families, and communities. Please plan to attend this series.
February 4: Dr. William Jackson, Executive Director, Village of Wisdom
Dr. Jackson leades Village of Wisdom, which works with Black Families to advocate and organize for racially just schools, or as we like to call it Protecting Black Genius. We take a multifaceted approach to this work that includes, political education and organizing with Black families and creating technology-based education tools, trainings, and assessments for educators to engender more culturally affirming classrooms.
