How to enroll
Enrollment in Microsoft Office 365 2-Step Verification is required for all faculty, staff, and students for access to UNC Office 365 tools (including UNC email).

EdIT Recommendations/Tips
- Use the Microsoft Authenticator App, when possible, as your primary method of authentication (available for iOS and Android). This will insure you have an authentication method when you travel and potentially do not have cellular service.
- Set up at least one secondary authentication method. This could include your office phone.
- You can set up authentication on up to 5 different devices.
- For the best experience with email and calendars on mobile phones, use the free Outlook App (available for iOS and Android).
- Do NOT approve an authentication request unless you initiated it. If you received an authentication request that you did not initiate, this could indicate that some one is attempting to access your account. You should contact the ITS Help Desk for assistance as soon as possible.
