The School of Education Business Operations Office is dedicated to assisting the School’s faculty, staff, students and affiliates in their various roles by providing leadership, direction and service in the areas of facilities, finance, human resources, IT, and research administration.
Business Operations includes the following units:
EdIT provides information technology and instructional technology support, consultation, and services for School of Education faculty and staff.
Facilities management in the School of Education oversees the maintenance of buildings and rooms, construction and renovation projects, space planning, facilities-based event planning and emergency/disaster preparedness.
The School of Education’s Finance team provides leadership and direction in the areas of accounting, budgeting, strategic planning, reporting, policy development and analysis of financial operations.
Human Resources serves to advance the overall mission of the School of Education through acquisition, retention, and support of excellent Faculty and Staff.
The Research Administration team assists faculty and staff with the broad aspects of Research Administration for their research, scholarly and creative programs.
The School’s Office of Communications and Marketing is responsible for managing School-related brands, content, websites, social media, digital signage, and more. The team provides UNC School of Education employees with strategic help across many communications-related areas including storytelling and social media content, website development, HTML email campaigns, graphic design, and more.
The Dean’s Office provides leadership for the UNC School of Education in collaboration with all school stakeholders.
The Development team’s work spans fundraising, alumni relations, and volunteer engagement.
The Office of Educator Preparation and Accreditation in the School of Education leads unit program assessment and accreditation efforts, supports programs and candidates in licensure-bearing programs, facilitates clinical placements with school partners, and provides data infrastructure support for the School.
The Student Affairs team provides professional support for the range of student experiences in the School of Education from recruitment and application to graduation.
